Welcome, Confirmation 2012 Class!

The 2012 Confirmation Class began its preparation on Sunday, December 18, 2011, at the 10:30 Mass, when students introduced themselves to the congregation and signed a book affirming their desire to be confirmed in the faith. Each of the 20 students received a bible, which they will use in their studies over the next year.
    Classes are regularly held on Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Attendance is mandatory, but missed classes may be made up by writing an essay on given topics. (See below.) Please read the course requirements for further information.

Confirmation takes place on Sunday, December 9 at the 10:30am Mass.

Rehearsal schedule:

Sunday, December 2,  7:30pm

Saturday December 8,  10:00am

(sponsors should attend this one)

 

 

If you still have credits to fill in, be sure to check with Mr. and Mrs. Kuhn or Mrs. Young for ideas on fulfilling them. See list below for regular service opportunities.

 

Current service opportunities:

  • Parish Service:  Serve as a lector or collector at the Youth Mass (3rd Sunday of every month).  
  • Community Service: Volunteer at the New London Meal Center or the Shoreline Soup Kitchen (at First Congregational Church of Old Lyme).
