An ACTS retreat is a three-day, three-night Catholic lay retreat presented by people who have attended prior ACTS retreats, under the guidance of a Catholic guide. Retreat activities focus on Adoration, Community, Theology, and Service:

 

ADORATION – God’s CALL, your ACCEPTANCE OF, AND RESPONSE TO GOD
COMMUNITY – LOVE AND CARING FOR EACH OTHER
THEOLOGY – STUDYING GOD THROUGH SCRIPTURE AND OUR CATHOLIC FAITH
SERVICE – TO GOD AND HIS PEOPLE

 

Scripture and the teachings of the Catholic Church are the guides.

     The goals of an ACTS retreat are to renew yourself spiritually, to strengthen your faith and its application in your daily life, and to create lasting and supporting friendships. Participants return to their parish faith communities with a deeper love for each other and a desire to become more involved.

 

The Christ the King Parish 2018 ACTS Women’s Retreat takes place September 20–23, 2018, at St. Edmund's Retreat Center on Enders Island in Mystic, Connecticut.  The retreat is open to women of all faiths.  Attendees will convene first at Christ the King Church on Thursday September 20, at 5:15 pm, and will travel together to Enders Island. The group will return to Christ the King on Sunday September 23 for 10:30 Mass and the conclusion of the retreat.

     There is a cost for the retreat ($230), but some financial assistance is available.  Contact the retreat directors for more information.
