Youth from Kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome to attend Christ the King’s Vacation Bible School, where they’ll take part in Bible-themed activities, songs, crafts, snacks and fun!
This year’s theme, “Great Big Beautiful World,” explores the idea of “caring for our common home” as set forth by Pope Francis in his encyclical Laudato Si. Through worship and drama, Bible study, nature-themed art projects and snacks, active games, and science explorations, children will discover God’s love for all of creation, and will be challenged to care for God’s world in tangible ways—both during VBS and at home.
Vacation Bible School is geared towards students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, but older students and adults are needed to help make VBS a success. High school and middle school students can be counselors or counselors-in-training; adults are needed to provide guidance and support in each program area. We also need volunteers to help prep activities and decorations now: looking for artists and creative/crafty people especially for the prep work, and musicians and photographers for VBS week! If you have knowledge or gifts in any areas of environmental stewardship — gardening, recycling, clean air and water, sustainability, etc. — please share with our kids during VBS week!
Volunteers needed (adults and students)!
